Normal Spring

In early April we were off to an early spring with temps in the 60's and 70's. Now we are back on course, just this last Sunday we had 18" of snow land on us. This will for sure knock down the fire danger and bring the lake levels up.

Boundary Waters Evening Time

Quetico’s Western Side

The Quetico Provincial Park is one of Ontario's finest attractions. Bordering along the U.S. Canadian Border the Quetico joins the Boundary Water Canoe Area Wilderness. The Quetico has many attractions to offer, one in particular would be the pictograph paintings. These are native paintings on rock walls that date back over 2000 years ago.

Boundary Waters Early Spring

Spring is here, let's go camping. This is a picture of Curtain Falls between Crooked and Iron lake in the BWCA. Curtain falls is one of the larger water falls in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Curtain falls is part of the chain of lake and rivers coming from Basswood lake and Ely area.

Spring Fishing in the Boundary Waters. (2012) Do to the early spring temps fish spawn will be weeks ahead. The Walleyes should be spawned out by mid April. The Smallmouth Bass should be done by the 3rd week of May.
