What Should I Bring?

Your canoe camping trip is planned and you’re ready to pack. You’re probably wondering where to begin! You might even have a few questions running through your head like; What do I pack? Am I going to pack enough? What if I forget something?  Well, I’m here to guide you through this nerve-racking time. We offer completely outfitted canoe packages. Here is a list of personal items to bring along.

Below is a suggested list of items you might want to pack to make sure you have the best trip possible.

What To Pack

Clothing:

  • One hat *
  • One sweatshirt *
  • One long sleeve shirt *
  • One loose fitting T-shirt *
  • One pair warm pants
  • One pair of lightweight pants
  • One pair of shorts
  • One swimsuit or swim shorts
  • A few pairs of socks and underwear
  • Footwear – sandals, tennis shoes
  • Rain gear – jacket, pants, boots

Necessities:

  • Sunscreen *
  • Aloe *
  • Lip balm – UV protected *
  • Head nets *
  • Sunglasses *
  • Toiletries *
  • Camera
  • Deck of Cards *
  • Notebook and pencil *
  • Reading material *
  • Day pack (book bag or fanny pack) *

  • Water bottle
  • Water Tablets *
  • Sharpening stone *
  • Fillet knife *
  • Pocket knife *
  • Compass *
  • Camping Soap *

Group Camping Essentials:

  • Hand Saw *

  • Waterproof Matches *
  • First Aid Kit *
  • Duct Tape
  • 50 to 100 feet rope *
  • Sat Phone *

Bring an extra set of clothing for the ride home. We do have a shower facility.

If you forget anything, our store is fully equipped. We also offer a variety of rental gear.

Clothing may vary depending on the season.
