Entering at Little Indian Sioux River North, located off the Echo Trail, is just a half day paddle to Devil’s Cascade of south Loon Lake. The Devil’s Cascade is another piece of the glacial remains that makes the Boundary Waters what it is today. On your paddle, you will travel the Little Indian Sioux River North, Upper Pauness Lake and Lower Pauness Lake. Once you make it to the Cascades your options are wide open. Go North and head up into Lac La Croix to explore the beautiful shores and bays it has to offer; or head East and venture into Shell, Little Shell, Lynx, Ruby or many more. Depending on the time you have, and the amount of travel wanted, Little Indian Sioux entry point has lots of possibilities for adventure.
