A passport, passport card, enhanced state ID, or NEXUS card presented at Canadian Customs on Sand Point Lake with Anderson’s Canoe Outfitters shuttles will grant access to Western Quetico Provincial Park; Remote Area Border Crossing (RABC) permits are NOT required.
Quetico Provincial Park
Discover the beauty and adventure this expansive wilderness has to offer with Anderson’s Canoe Outfitters, your trusted partner for an unforgettable wilderness adventure.
Canada’s Quetico Provincial Park spans over a million acres of rugged terrain, pristine rivers and lakes, ancient pictographs, and magnificent waterfalls.
Bordering Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW), Quetico features remote entry options off Lac La Croix or from the Beaverhouse and Staton Bay Lake entry points out of Atikokan. The entire park offers breathtaking backcountry canoe camping, outstanding fishing, and remarkable wildlife viewing.
While Quetico operates on an entry system similar to the BWCAW, it also requires a check-in at Canadian Customs on Sand Point Lake—the first shuttle stop after departing the Anderson’s Crane Lake dock. At the end of your trip, we’ll assist with U.S. check-in backed in the U.S. using the Customs tablets located at the shop.
We’re happy to help you plan a seamless Quetico adventure. Along with shuttle services and quality canoe and camping equipment rentals, Anderson’s offers E-mapping routes via Paddle Planner and lodging referrals at the Pine Ridge Motel, conveniently located across the road from the shop.
Let Anderson’s Canoe Outfitters reserve your Quetico permit for $25.
IMPORTANT: Contact us for shuttle availability before reserving your own permit.
